Symptoms
 | Crushing or spreading chest pain that may radiate to one
or both shoulders or to the neck, jaw or back
 | Irregular heartbeat
 | Difficulty breathing
 | Fear or anxiety
 | Dizziness
 | Heavy sweating
 | Nausea or vomiting
 | Pale or bluish lips or fingernails
 | Pale, bluish or clammy skin
 | Unconsciousness |

back injury?
First Aid
- Check the victim's ABCs. If
the victim is not breathing or does not have a pulse or
heartbeat, begin CPR.
- Make the victim comfortable and keep him or her calm.
Loosen any tight clothing, especially around the victim's
neck, chest and waist. Keep the victim warm. If necessary,
cover him with a blanket or additional clothing. Stroke
the victim's forehead with a cool, wet cloth. If the
victim is unconscious, place him in the recovery position.

CAUTION: Do not try to revive an unconscious victim by
slapping or shaking him or throwing cold water on him. Do
not give the victim anything to eat or drink.
- Continue to monitor the victim's breathing and pulse,
and, if necessary, begin CPR.
